Pasadena : Caltech Names Press Chief

Robert L. O’Rourke, former head of public relations and press secretary to the president of Boston University, has been named director of public relations for Caltech in Pasadena. O’Rourke began his duties last week, succeeding Thomas L. Branigan, who has been appointed to the new position of director of government and community affairs for Caltech. O’Rourke heads the Caltech news bureau, its publications office and Engineering and Science Magazine, and coordinatesthe school’s community and government relations program.
