200 in Alabama Town Flee as Gas Pipeline Explodes

PRATTVILLE, Ala. —
A natural gas pipeline exploded in two brilliant fire bursts early Saturday, shooting flames 100 feet high and sending up to 200 people fleeing their homes. The fire damaged two houses and two mobile homes in the Auataga Heights community but no injuries were reported. Authorities were seeking the cause of the explosion.
