Iran has ordered Hugh Pope, a correspondent for the Reuters news agency, to leave the country, accusing him of disclosing military secrets in a report on an Iraqi air raid on a satellite ground station. The Islamic Guidance Ministry, which handles the foreign press, said Pope breached its rules by not obtaining authorization for a July 4 visit to Assadabad, 100 miles southwest of Tehran, even though it was not in a restricted zone. Pope reported that an air raid there knocked out a satellite station.
