Woman Is Reunited With Her Baby After Kidnaping by ‘Nurse’

ARLINGTON, Va. — A woman left Arlington Hospital on Monday clutching the infant daughter who had been stolen from her arms last week, tearfully vowing never to “let her out of my sight for the rest of my life.”
Loreli Smith was wheeled from the hospital carrying daughter Jennifer Renee after a Maryland woman turned herself in to authorities Sunday and handed the baby over to District of Columbia police.
Valerie Holbert, 22, a former employee at the hospital, was released on personal recognizance after being charged during an arraignment Monday with abduction.
