USIA Aide to Be Promoted

WASHINGTON —
President Reagan will nominate Richard W. Carlson to be associate director for broadcasting at the U.S. Information Agency, a position he has held on an acting basis since March, the White House announced Thursday. Carlson, 45, also has served as USIA’s director of public liaison since December, 1985.
