FLAG FLAP

Share

I just saw the latest commercial for the Naugles fast-food chain, where Senor Naugles is visiting the Alamo, in San Antonio, Tex., expounding the virtues of Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie, both of whom would roll over in their graves if they saw that Lone Star flag flying upside down in front of that famed mission.

Any good Texan, which I am proud to be, knows that the white bar goes on top, for that endless clear Texas sky, the red on the bottom for the bloodstained soil which Texans have defended for over 150 years.

C’mon, Senor Naugles, if you are going for authenticity by rebuilding the Alamo, fix the flag.
