WASHINGTON — The latest catalogue from the U.S. Consumer Information Center demonstrates that Uncle Sam is still one of the best sources of low-cost guides to do-it-yourself home improvement.
Home improvement offerings in the Summer 1986 catalogue include “Simple Home Repairs Inside” ($1.75, No. 141P), a manual on repairing and replacing faucets, electric plugs, screens and tiles, and “Simple Home Repairs Outside” ($2, No. 142P), a manual on repairing roofs, doors, windows, porches, steps and sidewalks. To order, send check or money order made out to “Superintendent of Documents” R. Woods, Consumer Information Center-Y, P.O. Box 100, Pueblo, Colo. 81002.
