From Reuters
LONDON —
A Briton and his Irish wife are being held on murder charges in the Saudi Arabian town of Taif, and the British and Irish governments are seeking permission for consular officials to see them, spokesmen said Thursday.
The couple, identified as Briton Peter Hall and his Irish wife Monica, a nurse, have been charged with the murder of another Irish nurse, Helen Feeney, a British Foreign Office spokesman said.
If found guilty under Islamic law, Hall faces beheading and his wife death by stoning.
