For This Round, a Cheroot Goes to the Winner
Last Saturday’s editions of The Times and the Herald Examiner revealed that one journal is more orthographically proficient than the other.
In The Times, Gordon Edes’ usage of a word relating to a tooth problem was correctly spelled: abscessed. Similarly, in his Dodger notes, Ken Gurnick of the Herald Examiner, in reference to the same dental malady, erringly spelled it abcessed.
For this round, a cheroot to the winner, Gordon Edes.
