ACTIN’ METHODOLOGY

In Janice Arkatov’s fine article, “Methods in the Madness of Acting” (July 20), she inadvertently reported that I had been a member of the Group Theater. That particular stroke of fortune did not, in fact, befall me.

However, my very rich association with many of the Group members, including my teacher Roman Bohnen, Morris Carnovsky, Phoebe Brand, Art Smith, J. Edward Bromberg and Mary Virginia Farmer was at the Hollywood Actors Lab, where the L.A. Method bloomed at its best.
