Gustavus Stars
On July 14, 1985, the Travel Section featured a story on Gustavus, Alaska, by Sharon Dirlam, which prompted four of us to spend a week at the Gustavus Inn, fishing for halibut, salmon and Dolly Vardens. The inn is adjacent to Glacier National Park and owned by Dave and JoAnn Lesh. The accommodations are modest but the gourmet seafood dinners are excellent. All you can eat, and served family style. All bread and rolls are home-baked and the vegetables are grown in their garden. We caught and released more halibut than we thought possible. Thank you for steering us to the Gustavus Inn.
