CALIFORNIA - News from July 29, 1986

Telco Systems Inc., Redwood City, named Jack Shirman president, chief operating officer and a member of the board. Shirman has served for the past year as president of Telco’s fiber optics subsidiary in Norwood, Mass.

Shirman replaces Robert L. Bowman, who was elected chairman and chief executive. Bowman was the first president of the fiber optics unit and became president and chief operating officer of Telco Systems in May, 1985.
