No Pentagon Ban
After all the commentary on the Attorney General’s Commission on Pornography, I am really glad to see that the Pentagon is using it in a constructive way. They have just announced (Times, July 22) that they will not ban the sale of adult magazines, such as Playboy and Penthouse, at military bases. Presumably they reason that they can maintain the macho image and preserve the violent character of the military.
