A grand jury indicted the son of actor Ryan O’Neal on manslaughter charges in the boating death of his friend, Gian Carlo Coppola, 23, the son of film director Francis Ford Coppola. The Anne Arundel County grand jury in Annapolis, Md., returned a six-count indictment against Griffin O’Neal, 21, of Beverly Hills. Witnesses said O’Neal was operating the boat that hit a tow line at the mouth of the South River near Chesapeake Bay.
