A hearing to determine whether to charge Boston Red Sox pitcher Dennis (Oil Can) Boyd with assault and battery and disorderly conduct has been rescheduled for Oct. 28 in Chelsea, Mass.
Boyd was stopped by two narcotics detectives July 15 as he parked his car at his condominium in Chelsea and was searched for drugs. None were found. The next day, however, one of the detectives sought a complaint against Boyd for assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
