Cushman Electronics Cuts Its 3rd-Quarter Net Loss

Citing stepped-up sales and lower operating expenses, Cushman Electronics Inc. said it drastically cut its fiscal-third-quarter net loss to $79,000 from $597,000 last year.

The Newport Beach maker of radio and telephone test equipment said revenue for the period ended June 30 was up 15% to $2 million from $1.8 million.

For the first nine months of the fiscal year, Cushman posted a net loss of $347,000, compared with a net loss of $1.3 million a year ago. Revenue for the like period was $5.8 million, 8% below the $6.3 million posted a year ago.
