Ramona Savings sued to overturn a state ruling.

Lawyers for Ramona Savings and Loan Assn. sought a court order Tuesday that would allow Donald Stump to be named president. The lawsuit, filed in Superior Court in Santa Ana, seeks to overturn a July 17 decision by state Savings and Loan Commissioner William J. Crawford that barred Stump from serving in any capacity with Ramona. Stump had sought to acquire control of Ramona and had been named president on June 16, the suit says, but he was removed because Crawford intervened and as a result of unspecified “demands” made by the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corp.
