Ex-Soviet Aide Sentenced

MOSCOW —
Former Georgian Culture Minister Taimuraz G. Badurashvili has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for taking bribes, according to the latest edition of the Soviet republic’s newspaper to reach Moscow.
Badurashvili was dismissed last August in a shake-up by Georgia’s new leader Dzhumbar I. Patiashvili, who replaced Eduard A. Shevardnadze when he was made foreign minister in July, 1985.
