A Harvard University student who was struck in the head by a goal post at the 100th Yale-Harvard football game three years ago will receive payments expected to total about $850,000, according to New Haven, Conn., city officials.
Margaret Cimino, 21, of North Tarrytown, N.Y., was seriously injured Nov. 19, 1983, when a crowd rushed onto the field at the Yale Bowl and pulled down the goal post.
Cimino’s suit had claimed New Haven police did not provide adequate protection on the field to guard the goal post.
