Canadian Pacific Ltd. and the Chicago-based Sara Lee Corp. have been placed on the Arab boycott list, officials of the Arab Boycott of Israel Office announced in Damascus, Syria. The officials said the two companies are among 17 firms placed on the list at a meeting of liaison officers, which also agreed not to boycott French car-maker Renault and West Germany’s Siemens AG. They said no action was taken against Renault and Siemens because they presented evidence that they had no dealings with Israel.
