Farmers Group Inc., Los Angeles, elected Leo E. Denlea Jr. chairman and chief executive effective Sept. 1. Denlea, currently president and chief operating officer, will succeed Richard G. Lindsley, who is retiring as chairman but will remain as a director of the insurance holding company.
