Pan Am Corp., the parent of Pan American World Airways, lost $152.4 million in the second quarter. A year earlier, the carrier posted a $72-million loss. The results reflected weak transatlantic business resulting from concerns about terrorism overseas and the Chernobyl nuclear accident in the Soviet Union, the company said. The New York company’s revenue slumped 22% in the quarter to $673.5 million from $865.3 million.
