Clorox Co. reported an 11% increase in net income for the fiscal year ended June 30. Revenue rose 3% from a year ago. Commenting on the year just ended, C. R. Weaver, Clorox chairman and chief executive, said record total shipments of the company’s products and improved gross margins were the principal contributors to the earnings improvement. Established brands that set shipment records include Clorox liquid bleach and Clorox 2 dry bleach. Shipments of both Hidden Valley Ranch bottled salad dressing and Fresh Step cat litter, which completed their second full year in national distribution, were well ahead of a year ago.
