A state judge today barred candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and the U.S. Senate backed by political extremist Lyndon LaRouche from the Sept. 9 New York Democratic primary ballot.

Supreme Court Justice Edward Conway’s decision will be appealed to federal court, said Webster Tarpley, the candidate for U.S. Senate allied with LaRouche. Conway ruled that joint nominating petitions for the LaRouche candidates containing 58,790 signatures were invalid because the 25 petitions failed to list on their cover sheets the number of signatures collected for each candidate.
