I tip my hat to the letter written by Bunzel with reference to Bob Hope’s joke about the Statue of Liberty.
I have never been fortunate enough to visit the Lady, but I, too, feel it is a national treasure and am terribly proud of the way she stands and what she stands for.
And what bothers me as much, is the remark about her having “AIDS,” maybe from the mouth of the Hudson!
What a terrible remark to make, so much as referring to Rock Hudson. Why not let this beautiful man rest in peace?
