Maxwell, Reed Get First Hall of Fame College Scholarships
Todd Maxwell of Saddleback High School and Courtney Reed of Santa Ana have been awarded the first Orange County Hall of Fame college scholarships.
Maxwell, a member of the soccer, football, track and cross-country teams, had a 4.0 grade-point average and will attend UCLA.
Reed, who also maintained a 4.0 GPA, played tennis and ran cross-country. She will attend Stanford.
Both receive $1,000 toward their college educations.
They will be honored Wednesday at Anaheim Stadium before the Angels-Twins game.
