Fujitsu Business Communications, an Anaheim telecommunications manufacturer, said it has acquired the assets and assumed some of the liabilities of Electronic Communications Inc., a South Gate-based maker of telecommunications switching equipment.
The company declined to state what ECI’s assets were or to name the specific liabilities involved, only saying that ECI’s trade debts were included. The company also said that it has hired all of ECI’s former employees.
Fujitsu said that the move increases its ability to sell its products and provide service to its customers in Southern California.
