Construction is expected to start in the last quarter of this year on The Gateway, a $112-million, 44-acre office development by the A. H. Reiter Development Co., Newport Beach, at the northeast corner of Haven Avenue and 4th Street in Rancho Cucamonga.

The first phase of the 1-million-square-foot development will include a 70,000-square-foot, three-story building and two one-story 10,000-square-feet structures. The leasing agent is the Ontario office of Grubb & Ellis Commercial Brokerage Services.

Completion of the first phase is expected by late next year, according to developer Harry Reiter. The second phase, including a food park and three office buildings, will be in construction about 18 months after the first-phase buildings are completed. The project’s architect is Albert C. Martin & Associates, Irvine.
