Cipher Data announced a mandatory vacation.

As part of a “cost-containment action,” Cipher Data Products said it has directed 850 of its 2,300 employees to take mandatory one-week paid vacations during the last week in August. The action followed an industry slowdown and the closing of the company’s Garden Grove manufacturing plant, which was damaged last week in an industrial accident.
