Spain and Greece disputed parts of the pasta deal.

Officials of the European Communities said Spain particularly voiced concern that the draft agreement, settling a drawn-out dispute over U.S. citrus exports and EC pasta produce, could damage the interests of its producers of almonds, sweet oranges, olives and olive oil. The two countries expressed their reservations at a two-hour meeting of Common Market officials called to hear a report on the agreement reached over the weekend. But Common Market officials said the reservations were not seen as a threat to the lifting of trade restrictions by the two sides on pasta and U.S. lemons and walnuts exports.
