An elderly woman was an apparent murder victim at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock, where for 20 years she had been unlocking the doors prior to 8 a.m. Mass. Police would not immediately release her name. Her body was found in a corner at the rear entrance to the sanctuary, where investigators reportedly found a large amount of blood. The doors had not yet been unlocked.
