Minneapolis-based NWA Inc., which completed its acquisition of Republic Airlines on Tuesday, also announced a series of executive changes.
Steven G. Rothmeier, president and chief executive, becomes chairman and CEO of NWA and Northwest Orient Airlines, its chief subsidiary. John F. Horn, a former executive vice president, becomes president and chief operating officer. The chairman’s job had been vacant since May, 1985, when M. Joseph Lapensky retired.
Additionally, James A. Abbott was named vice chairman and general counsel of NWA. His previous position was executive vice president and general counsel.
