All 120 members of the state Assembly and Senate would be required to undergo drug testing under a resolution to be introduced by Assemblywoman Marian W. La Follette. A spokesman for the Northridge Republican said the resolution would allow the drug tests to be administered by personal physicians of the legislators, but the results would have to be submitted to the rules committee of each house by Aug. 29 when the Legislature is slated to adjourn. Citing President Reagan’s recent decision to volunteer for drug testing, La Follette spokesman Rob Wilcox said state lawmakers too “must serve as examples to the people of California.”
