Second Polish Sailboat Late for Statue Fete

NEW YORK — A Polish sailboat arrived Tuesday for the Statue of Liberty’s 100th birthday celebration--more than a month late because of a storm but with its crew healthy, the Coast Guard said.
Another Polish sailboat, the Stomil, arrived in New York Harbor four days late for the Fourth of July festivities. It has since sailed to Buffalo, New York and Chicago, arriving in Chicago a day late.
The sloop Gaudeamus arrived Tuesday in New York Harbor, delayed by rough weather, the Coast Guard said.
