CALIFORNIA - News from Aug. 15, 1986

Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co., headquartered in Novato, said Joseph W. Brown, executive vice president and chief financial officer, was elected vice chairman overseeing three new subsidiaries, each specializing in an individual market. Donald H. McComber, an executive vice president, will become president of Fireman’s Fund Commercial Insurance. Matthew A. McNally Jr., executive vice president for specialty insurance, is the new president of Fireman’s Fund Specialty Insurance.

A president has yet to be named for Fireman’s Fund Personal Insurance.

Executive Vice President Fredric G. Marziano assumed the new position of chief underwriting officer, with additional responsibility for government and industry affairs and corporate reinsurance needs.
