Mexicana Airlines has cut fares from Los Angeles to Cancun, Cozumel and Merida to $308 round trip midweek. Weekends are $355. Children travel half-price. There is one free stopover in each direction at Mexico City, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara or Los Cabos.

Sunworld International Airways has begun service between Seattle and San Diego, Ontario, Las Vegas, Reno and Oklahoma City. There’s a free, unlimited stopover privilege on flights transiting Las Vegas.

The U.S.-Japan Cross Culture Center is presenting a workshop for those interested in going to Japan to live or travel. The meeting will be at the Center, 244 S.
