Aryeh Finegold, a former Israeli paratrooper who co-founded Daisy Systems Corp., San Jose, has resigned as president and chief executive of the computer-aided engineering company.

Harvey Jones, a Daisy founder who had been executive vice president, was named president and chief operating officer. Frederick R. Adler, currently chairman of the board, resigned his role as chairman but will remain an active member of the board, the company said.

Max Palevsky, a member of Daisy’s board and a former Xerox executive, assumed the positions of chairman and chief executive.
