PDA Net Income Down Slightly at Year End

PDA Engineering said net income for its fiscal year ended June 30 was $1.4 million, down 2.7% from $1.44 million. Revenue for the 1986 fiscal year was $17.4 million, up 19.2% from $14.6 million.

For its fourth quarter, the Santa Ana-based software and engineering services company reported net income of $265,000, a 45% decline from $484,000. Revenue for the final period was $4.5 million, up 25% from $3.6 million.

PDA officials attributed the downturn in earnings to increased product development and marketing costs.
