A natural gas explosion lifted the roof off a brick house a day after a couple moved in, injuring the new residents and a firefighter, police said.

Mark and Laura Ginkel suffered minor cuts and bruises in the initial blast Tuesday, which lifted the roof several inches, brought down ceilings, blew out part of an exterior wall, and knocked Laura Ginkel out of bed, police said.
