Expansion and Gridlock
I am a responsible businesswoman who believes in due process and am appalled that a group of malcontent, irresponsible people, such as Gridlock, with its unverified estimates of traffic and jobs, can usurp legitimate City Council review, Planning Commission meetings, environmental impact studies and planning for 20 years. Its circulating of petitions was not even honest. It gave false information to signers.
The benefits from the improved traffic flow and the much desired amenities, which most communities would die for, will all be wiped out by this group.
If you want better flow of traffic not paid for by taxpayers, a beautiful expansion of the museum, increased funding for the library, a teen center and a child care center, disregard the rhetoric of a few people who want to go back to the horse-and-buggy days of yesterday.
I am going to join the Citizens for Support of a Better Newport to keep Newport Beach the envy of the world.
