New Mexico Police Raid Pot Farm, Find Poppies

CUBA, N.M. —
State police who raided a Rocky Mountain marijuana farm said they also stumbled onto a fledgling “plantation” of 1,300 opium-producing poppies. Authorities found the illegal flowers Tuesday after arresting a man suspected of growing about 750 marijuana plants.
