Newport Beach’s Duesler Upset in Senior Tennis

PHILADELPHIA —
Paul Cranis of New York City defeated top-seeded Bob Duesler of Newport Beach Friday, 6-4, 6-1, in a quarterfinal match of the U.S. 50-and-over singles Senior Grass Court Tennis Championships at the Germantown Cricket Club.
In another quarterfinal match, Whitney Reed of Los Angeles defeated Jim Nelson of Newport Beach, 7-6 (9-7), 6-3.
