Six of Potter’s classic stories are recited with the accompaniment of illustrations that only occasionally are animated. Sounds strictly low-budget, but in fact it works wonderfully. Sydney S. Walker is a captivating narrator and the simple visual style accents, rather than competes with, Potter’s enchanting tales of mischievous rabbits, naughty kittens, scampish mice and friendly frogs who wear galoshes to go fishing.
