Charles J. Bradshaw has resigned as president and chief operating officer and as a member of the board of Transworld Corp., New York, the food and lodging company announced.
“The issue involves matters of judgment and degree, and our parting is a completely amicable one,” said L. Edwin Smart, Transworld’s chairman and chief executive.

Transworld’s major subsidiaries are Hilton International, Canteen Corp. and Spartan Food Systems. The company was the parent of Trans World Airlines until spinning off the airline to shareholders in 1984.
