A 9-year-old boy missing from his Hollywood home since Friday was reunited with his parents after an unidentified witness spotted the youngster and his male baby sitter on a San Pedro street early Monday, detectives said.
Kenny Ray Hall, 9, was reported missing after he failed to return from a noon grocery shopping trip with Randell Eugene Grassini, 32, a neighbor who watched the boy, Hollywood Division Sgt. Chuck Urso said.
The two were neither seen nor heard from for almost three days, until Los Angeles police officers were called by a witness who reported seeing them near Western Avenue and 19th Street shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, detectives said.
Police took Grassini into custody and booked him for investigation of kidnaping, detectives said.
The boy, who Urso said lives with his father and stepmother, was examined by a doctor and was reunited with his parents, Urso said.
