Atlantic Storm System May Become Hurricane

MIAMI — Forecasters predicted Monday that a 2-day-old tropical depression in the Atlantic would continue to gather strength and develop into the fourth named storm of the 1986 Atlantic hurricane season.
The depression, centered about 1,000 miles east of the Lesser Antilles, was carrying winds of 35 m.p.h. and was moving northwest at 15 m.p.h., according to an advisory by the National Hurricane Center in Coral Gables, Fla.
