N.H. Families Flee Fumes Released by Truck Spill

PELHAM, N.H. — A truck believed to be carrying paint residue spilled an unknown quantity of its cargo Tuesday, forcing the evacuation of about 25 families, state police said. A four-mile stretch of Route 38 in southern New Hampshire was closed temporarily after residents said fumes from the spill nauseated them, officials said. No injuries were reported.
