Fullerton : People 55 and Up Offered Free Legal Assistance

Free legal assistance is being offered to senior citizens through the Fullerton College Associated Students Legal Clinic, according to a spokeswoman.

Student activities coordinator Darlene Jacobson said the legal clinic provides a free initial consultation of up to 20 minutes for people 55 or older. Further services are available at rates agreeable to client and attorney.

The service was originally intended to assist students and college staff with legal needs.

Through the program, Anaheim attorneys Milo F. De Armey and Thomas Gray provide consultation in domestic relations, landlord-tenant disputes, criminal and civil law, wills and probate, bankruptcy, incorporations, general business law, estate planning and other areas of law.

Those using the service are advised to prepare questions beforehand and bring all relevant documents, papers, letters and materials.

Appointments are required and can be made in person at the Associated Students office or in the Student Center or by calling (714) 871-8884 or (714) 871-8000, Ext. 317.

The legal clinic is in Room 810 of the Student Center on the Fullerton College campus, 321 E. Chapman Ave., Fullerton. Hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays.
