10 More Victims of Air Disaster Are Identified

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office Saturday officially identified 10 more victims of last Sunday’s in-flight collision between an Aeromexico DC-9 and a Piper Cherokee Archer II, including six people who were killed on the ground in Cerritos.

This brings the total number of people officially identified to 29. Coroner’s spokesman Bill Gold said more names will be released as identities are established.

Javier Luis Estrada, 16.

Freeman Jackson, 20.

Linda McIllwain, 37.

Sandra Starr, 19.

Howard Yackatooahnipah, 48.

Sharon Yackatooahnipah, 42.

Victims from the airliner:

Maria Caro, 24, of Los Angeles.

Byron West Booker, 54, of Huntington Beach.

Carlos Almada Lopez, 37, of Navojoa, Mexico.

Richard Walsh, 55, of Los Angeles.
