UCI Men’s Soccer Team Beats UC San Diego, 2-0

The UC Irvine men’s soccer team scored both goals in the last 10 minutes to defeat UC San Diego, 2-0, in the season opener for both teams Sunday in Irvine.

Sophomore Mike Peresi, from Corona del Mar High School, controlled a loose ball in front of the net and scored with 9:18 left for the Anteaters. Junior Cameron Beaulac scored the other goal three minutes later. Goalie Victor Flores had five saves for Irvine.
